Perovskite oxide compounds structured have important applications, including the solid oxide fuel cells, ferroelectric, superconducting materials, and catalytic oxidation reactions. This is because having the perovskite crystal structure, high stability and can be formed of various cations. To this end, developed oxide-based cathode with perovskite structure with composition ABO 3 In this study perovskite compounds La 0.8 Sr 0.2 MnO3. (LSM) were synthesized by solid phase reaction method with sintering temperature of 1350 οC. The results of X-ray diffraction analysis of LSM powder using Le Bail method showed that LSM is trigonal / rhombohedral structured in R-3c space group. The results of conductivity measurements with a 4 point method shows that the ionic conductivity of LSM cathode is 2.473 x10 -4 (S.cm -1), while the results on the morphology of the LSM with SEM analysis showed that the grain and pore size on the cathode material LSM morphologically eligible to apply as cathode material in solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC).
