Abstract

The culinary business has considerable potential for growth. Surabaya is a market place that is widely targeted by domestic and foreign businessmen. The tight competition in the culinary business is a strong reason in applying the right business strategy to survive and win the competition. One approach that can be used in formulating business strategy is to use the SWOT approach. Noodle business with the concept of spicy became the object of observation in this study. This research aims to make the formulation of competitive strategy with SWOT approach. The results showed that the indicator that became a strategic opportunity for the development of the noodle-x business is to provide employment for the local people. While the threat is the number of chicken noodle business that offers a spicy concept
