Abstract

The method that is often used by the community to press and produce cassava flour is generally pressed using a wood with the weight of a stone, thus the final result is not very satisfactory. So that from the above method, the Cassava Grated Press tool was developed and made to get satisfactory results. The working principle of this grated cassava press is to use a pressing screw where the threaded shaft is moved by the rotating wheel arm which is used to raise and lower the press plate, using human power in order to press the results of grated cassava. The specifications of this tool are 600 mm long, 450 mm high and 990 mm high, this tool is operated manually and does not endanger the operator or the surrounding environment. So that the time used to press the cassava is quite short so that the production of cassava flour is getting faster and increasing.
